Thanksgiving dinner

Thanksgiving is an American tradition that takes place every fourth Thursday in November. Families gather together to share the typical Thanksgiving dinner: turkey, mashed potatoes with cranberry sauce, vegetables and pumpkin pie. 
In our classrooms, students are not just learning about the historical origins of the tradition. It is a celebration that marks the beginning of the Christmas season in the western world and has implications for us too: Black Friday is directly connected to this festivity.
Students in fourth grade were creating their turkeys and, at the same time, they were reflecting on the importance of embracing gratitude in our daily lives.
